JEMBER, Saturday (22/9/2018) suaraindonesia-news.com – Dozens of reporters from print, online and television media boycott the Egrang Festival held by Tanoker. The event was attended by women’s empowerment and child protection, Yohanna Susana Yembise, today.
The reporters claimed to have been obstructed by the committee in doing reporting. They put down their press card and cameras to the ground as a protest symbol.
Hamka Agung, reporter from ANTARA news agency said that the committee closed the fence when he was about to cover the minister.
“We were invited to cover this event, but we were blocked by the event committee by not opening the fence, for no apparent reason,” Hamka said.
He admitted that he was very disappointed with this treatment, he only did his job as a reporter. He already showed his press card, but still prevented and prohibited.
“We are reporter, we have our own ethical code,” He added.
Similar things was expressed by reporter from dialogtvnews, Isma Hakim Rahmat. He imitates what the committee said at that time.
